What does the Bible say about Self-Pity?

Exodus 16:3 (NKJV) And the children of Israel said to them, “Oh, that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.””

2 Samuel 15:30 (NKJV) So David went up by the Ascent of the Mount of Olives, and wept as he went up; and he had his head covered and went barefoot. And all the people who were with him covered their heads and went up, weeping as they went up.

1 Kings 19:3–4 (NKJV) And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.
