Can God even use me? Yes! God uses ordinary, flawed, average men and women like you and me. Get out of your mind the thought that you’re not good enough, smart enough, or ready enough to be used by God for His Kingdom.  God doesn’t use perfect people. Why? They don’t exist!

There is hope for you. God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

1 Corinthians 1:26–31 (NKJV) “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”

It’s interesting how Paul describes us. He doesn’t say ‘not any’ but not many. There aren’t ‘many’ wise or mighty or noble among us. Most of God’s work in the world today is done through ordinary men and women like you and me.  The Bible is filled with true story after true story of God doing this repeatedly.

God is looking for that man or woman who is loyal to Him.

2 Chron 16:9 (NKJV) For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.

God is looking for that man or woman who is available to Him.

Ezek 22:30 (NKJV) So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.

God is looking for that man or woman after His own heart!

1 Sam 13:14 (NKJV) But now your kingdom shall not continue. The LORD has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the LORD has commanded him to be commander over His people, because you have not kept what the LORD commanded you.”

God is looking to you today to step up and serve Him.
