Have you failed? Fallen hard? Made a serious mistake?

God is not done with you. You are not disposable. God does not have plans to toss you aside when things fall apart. He is with you, restoring and repairing your life. What the devil thought he destroyed for good is being remade into something new by the Lord. Your loving, faithful God holds you. God restores what is broken rather than discarding it. He would rather rebuild than leave you in ruins.  That’s exactly what He’s doing: rebuilding you!

Psalm 37:4 (NKJV) “Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.”

God is in the business of fixing broken things. When you feel ruined, He can make you new. There is freedom in serving Him when you remember His love, grace, mercy, and truth. He will give you His desires, and His desires are always good.

As you step out to serve God in your church and your community, remember that Heaven will be filled with people from every background, language, and story. Many have spent years in darkness and do not yet know how to walk in the light. As you serve, it is important to understand the Father’s heart and carry it with you. His heart is full of mercy, compassion, restoration, reconciliation, grace, patience, love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control.

People need to see His heart, and often, they will see it through you. The way you respond, the way you forgive, the way you encourage, and the way you listen will all reveal Jesus to those around you. People matter to God.

You matter to God. The grace you have received from Him becomes the foundation for how you serve others. If God has dealt graciously with you—and He has—turn and show that same grace to others. Let the kindness you have received flow through you to those who are hurting, searching, and longing for hope.

Mark 12:30–31 (NKJV) “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Keep loving God. Keep loving people. That is where true ministry begins. Your failures do not define you. God’s grace does. Let His love shape the way you see yourself and the way you see others. Let His grace lead you to serve well, and remember, you are never beyond His help. You are loved, and you are useful in His hands.
