What does the Bible say about Lying?

Proverbs 12:19 (NKJV) The truthful lip shall be established forever, But a lying tongue is but for a moment.

Proverbs 12:22 (NKJV) Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, But those who deal truthfully are His delight.

Proverbs 14:5 (NKJV) A faithful witness does not lie, But a false witness will utter lies.

Proverbs 14:25 (NKJV) A true witness delivers souls, But a deceitful witness speaks lies.

Proverbs 17:20 (NKJV) He who has a deceitful heart finds no good, And he who has a perverse tongue falls into evil.

Proverbs 19:9 (NKJV) A false witness will not go unpunished, And he who speaks lies shall perish.
