You need to know and understand that God has specifically chosen you. You were chosen to enjoy an intimate relationship with Him, to serve Him, and to love Him. You did not choose Him. He chose you! Isn’t that encouraging?
John 15:16 (NKJV) “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.”
Because God chose you, He will use every part of your life, the good, the bad, the joyful, the sorrowful, and everything in between, to make you the woman or the man He desires to use. God wastes no experience or any part of your upbringing. From the year you were born, to the family, you were born into, to the education you received, it’s all used by God. You have great purpose in Him.
It’s encouraging to consider the sovereignty of God. You don’t have to worry about what your life will become, as God has already done that for you! In a way, He’s already written the script for your life. As you abide in Christ, the very life of God is lived out through you.
You have the choice to accept and embrace that no matter what circumstances arise, God is always with you, guiding you every step of the way to accomplish His purpose and fulfill His will. He will never leave or forsake you.
He chose and appointed you, so trust Him to use every part of your life for His glory. Don’t be discouraged when it seems nothing is going right in your life and everything seems to be against you. God is still with you and is still working all things together for your good.
Jeremiah 1:5 (NKJV) ““Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.””
This is very important to grasp and believe. Why? I know some of you are discouraged and unhappy where you are. You wonder why would God want me to be in this school and not that one, or at this job and not that one, or in this neighborhood and not that one. You may have even thought, “I want to be doing anything other than this!”
Listen, God doesn’t waste a thing in your life. The things you’re learning will become very beneficial as you grow into the calling God’s placed upon your life.
Romans 8:28–30 (NKJV) “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.”
Remember, you are chosen and appointed by God to bear much fruit, and He will never leave you nor forsake you as His beloved child. Be encouraged by that knowledge today!
